Nostalgic Java – Bali incl. Pangandaran

Arrival in Jakarta! After passport control and then the luggage strap for the suitcases follows 1 last customs control of only the suitcases (and you give here the Customs form that you have entered about to enter). And then through the doors outward. Our driver is ready here. You can walk after the doors to the left and to the right so check sides before you think there is no one. The driver has a paging board in his hands; A sign with your name and our logo on it. After the meeting you will go to the car and drive to the hotel. Here you arrive in the late evening (depending on traffic pressure). The rest of the evening is free at leisure the hotel is centrally located.

Appearance at 9AM the latest you drive to Bogor. Before we leave Jakarta behind us, you will visit Sunda Kelapa harbor and the old town; Kota Tua, (Fatahilah square). On the square you can independently visit one of the museums that this square is rich and if desired visit the nostalgic Cafe Batavia. Then you drive via the highway to Bogor. If there is time, you can visit the famous Botanical Gardens today. The garden is very large, a walk is fun with highlights like the Istana Bogor and the orchid garden. After the walk in Kebun Raya (with local English speaking guide, optional not included) the car will take you to your hotel for a quiet afternoon.

Today you will discover the much-discussed Puncak pass to Bandung. A ride of about 7 hours through beautiful changing landscape. On the way we stop (if desired) at Cibodas (the other much more popular botanical garden) and for coffee, tea and lunch sometimes with beautiful far faces. In Bandung you go directly to the hotel. The hotel is in the heart of the city and a walk is definitely recommended. In ancient times this was the commercial heart of the city. Bandung was called the Paris of Java. The walking route takes you past the most appealing buildings of that time. Via Jl. Braga you come back to the hotel.

(departure 07.00) after breakfast departure to the crater Lake ' Kawah Putih ' then visit a strawberry farm where you can pick your own strawberries for a refreshing juice. After a short break through to a bamboo factory, continue driving back to your hotel. The rest of the day free at leisure.

(Departure 08.00) Today you drive to Pangandaran on the way there is still stopped for a tour to a traditional village, Desa Naga. Here one still lives according to the old traditions of the village. You have to take a staircase with 300 steps (and back on!) to get to the village. In the afternoon arrive in Pangandaran You are free to do what you want.

(Departure 08.00) Surroundings Tour Pangandaran. Together with a local guide you pull out. You visit a small Wayangpoppen factory, take the boat to Green Canyon, visit the National Park, vist your own dinner and finish the day with a BBQ. A delightful loklae experience with lots of variety in nature, culture and good food.

Beware!! In the rainy season the green Canyon is often not green but brown because mud that comes downstream makes the river Brown.

(Departure 09.00) Today you drive to Magelang on the way there is stopped for coffee and lunch but furthermore it is mainly a trip. Approx 15.00 hours you arrive at the hotel.

Early wake up for your visit to the Wereldsgrootste Buddhist monument, Borobudur. A local guide (not included) guides you over the complex and gives explanations during a walk on the (4) terraces, along the reliefs and the many stupas that the complex is rich. After the tour you can still take the special atmosphere of this complex at your own pace. After visiting Borobudur back to Hotel for breakfast after breakfast check out your driver is ready to bring you to your hotel in Yogyakarta. The rest p the day free at leisure.

Optional. Visit you in the evening Puriwisata: You can have a delicious Javanese dinner and witness a part of the Ramayana show (through your driver or guide reservation). The performance takes from 20.00 hours to 22.00 hours.

We start the day around 9.00 with a Yogyakarta city tour with the Becak. You first go to the Kraton. The Kraton is a ' fortress ' in the city of Yogyakarta once it was the center of the city nowadays it is a part of however who wants to live/live within the walls of the crater must conform to the rules of the Sultanate. You begin in the Kraton. This is the Sultan's palace; The Kraton palace that you can visit. After this you will go to Taman Sari or the water castle. After breakfast we drive direct to Prambanan. At Plaosan Temple you'll meet your local guide and start your bike ride in this beautifully landscaped area. You get a traditional hat/topi to protect you from the sun, a bottle of water and then on the path. You cycle (by road) through small villages and along's (rice fields) so that you experience the everyday life closer. On the way you still have ' coffee break ' with traditional drinks and snacks (everything, also lunch, totally good and hygienic prepared). You make stops at a tofu and Tempe ' factory ' and a craftsman, who still makes traditional bamboo instrument Angklung-usually he gives a short performance. In about 2.5 hours you cycle back to the surroundings of Prambanan where the bike tour ends and you visit this Hindu temple. In the parking lot of Prambanan the car is ready and brings you to the hotel in Solo. End of the day the driver will take your luggage again. Tomorrow you travel in the train with only a nachttas and hand luggage. Travel papers, money and medication are not left in your luggage.

(Departure see train ticket) From middle to East Java is a long piece to bridge to make this as pleasant as possible we distribute this trip in a train part and an auto part. In the early morning a car from the hotel will bring you to the station where you take the train in the direction of Surabaya. In Mojokerto it is time to get off here the driver/car is waiting with your luggage. Next stop (approx 5 hour drive) is Cemore Lawang. Depending on traffic the driver will try and get you to your hotel for the sunset. From the grounds off the hotel you can see Bromo and Semeru and it is definitely worth while to go outside and enjoy this spectacle. Once the sun is gone, it is freezing cold. Warm clothing is needed!

Before the break of dawn (03.30AM), the jeep will pick you up and take you to the Penanjakan viewpoint to watch the sun rise. The sunrise over Bromo and Semeru is Mother Nature at her best – fantastic photo opportunities! Then you drive on to the Bukit Pasir (Sea of Sand) and from here you can walk or take a horse (to be hired on the spot not included) to the foot of Mount Bromo. The stairs ( 243 steps) are your last obstical to the Kaldera ( the crater mouth) and from there you can 'relax' with breathtaking view. Once you have gone to the crater rim you can find your way back to the jeep and it brings you to the hotel for a quick breakfast. The car is ready to drive you to Kalibaru.

(Departure 09.00) This day a quiet start. After breakfast around 09.00 hours the car is ready and it takes you to a plantation nearby. East Java is especially known as plantation area. Here you will find extensive plantations that are reminiscent of earlier times. On the plantation you can get guided by and local speaking guide (entrance and guide not included), this gives explanations on the production and processing of local products such as rubber, gula Jawa and coffee. After this you drive to ferry for the crossing and drive directly to Pemuteran.

Take your driver after drop at the hotel to say goodbye to you.

Today you are making a snorkel excursion to Menjangan Island. In the morning you leave (along with others this is a groepsexcusrie) on a boat towards Menjangan on the way are the first snorkles pots. Then go to the island where you can, snorkel, walk and enjoy the beach. Then you sail back.A relaxing morning at the sea, where the underwater life is central, and perhaps the dolphins are a good family and come and watch the boat. The afternoon is free at leisure.

In the morning a car is ready with a Balinese driver and you depart for the interior of Bali. On the way, several crater lakes provide a beautiful landscape. At the Bratan-Lake we stop for a visit to Ulu Danu tempel. The inhabitants of Bedugul worship in this temple Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake. Popularly, the temple and the fruit market in Bedugul are indicated as Candi Kuning. The route proceeds passed some beautiful terraced rice fields at Jatiluwih. If desired and time allows it you can make a walk in the fields (at personal expense it can be arranged on the spot). Then to Ubud.

In the morning (9am) local English speaking guide will pick you up for an exclusive Ubud surroundings tour. The activities of this day differ per day. If there is a Hindu ceremony close by you'll be brought there otherwise you visit Ubud city. You most likely visit a Barong dance performance, a local Balinese house in the area of Pura Yeh Puluh and Gunung Kawi (more than 500 steps lead to this temple located in a small valley) and the sacred baths of Tirta Empul in Tampaksiring.

(Departure 9.00) A car is ready to transfer to Sanur for your last days filled with relaxation in this quiet seaside resort. If you still want to plan activities, Sanur is central enough to organize it yourself.
